Demining of Second Minefield Completed
Demining of second minefield completed.  Area cleared 102000 Sq Mtrs. 1230 anti personnel mines recovered.  Area handed over to GA, Vavuniya by DMAO in Kaccheri, Vavuniya.

Work commenced at Sri Lanka
Demining Commenced.  First anti personnel mine encountered and detected by MDD Akash.  Subsequently three more mines detected by deminers.
