Project Control Engineer
Experience : 5 Years       Location : Kuwait

Job Description
The Project Controls Engineer is responsible for assisting with planning, coordination, tracking, reporting, and managing of project costs and schedules. The role will also include a focus on claims and contracts management, making sure the organization is protected from potential disputes and claims.

Key Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Project Planning and Coordination: Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain project plans and schedules. Identify and monitor critical paths and potential risks, developing contingency plans as necessary.
2. Cost Control: Monitor project expenditures and provide cost forecasts. Identify and explain variances from the project budget.
3. Schedule Control: Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules. Use project management software to monitor progress and identify potential delays.
4. Contract Management: Review, analyze, and manage contracts to ensure that project deliverables, schedules, and technical specifications are met.
5. Claims Management: Assess project risks and manage claims from contractors. Ensure that all claims are handled in a timely and cost-effective manner.
6. Reporting: Regularly provide detailed reports on project status, costs, schedule, risks, and claims to project stakeholders.
7. Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with project team members, contractors, and other stakeholders. Maintain open lines of communication to identify potential problems and develop solutions.
8. Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with company policies and regulations. Assist with audits as necessary.

Requirements :
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in project management or controls, preferably in engineering or construction.
3. Experience with claims management and contract negotiation.
4. Proficient with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
5. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make sense of complex data.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
7. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.

Working Conditions : This role may require occasional travel to project sites. Extended hours and weekend work may also be necessary during certain phases of the project. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
